I quite agree with your comments,,its true some churchs do experience an increase in numbers by watering down the message,,keeping their Bibles out of sight or home so as not to frighten or oterwise affect negatively the unbelieving "seekers"who may chance to be attracted to church by this watered down message and worldly music,,,but how can you save anyone without preaching the word,,,do not the scriptures say"faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God",,and who is a seeker anyway,,it seems to me that the scriptues say that "there is none that seeks after God"and that Jesus said that He was come to "seek and to save that which was lost".The only real "seeker" is Jesus",,proven by the fact that as the scriptures again say"He died for us while we were yet sinners",,so in reality there is no such thing as an unsaved "seeker",,what draws us to Jesus,,God,,for the scriptures again say "no man can come unto me except the Father draw him",,,the drawing agent is the Holy Spirit,,using the word of God..Then again if we relagate the Bible,,the worg of God to a place of obscurity instead of a place of promanance in the church,,,,are we not doing the same to Christ because He is the living worsd and the Bible is the written word,or the embodyment of what God has written,,one cannot reduce the Bible to a back seat just because it makes unbelievers nervous without doing the same to Christ
