In keeping with charismatic themes this week, I ask you to consider what it means to truly trust the promises of God. We know the "Word of Faith" variant within charismatic circles has garnered more than its share of attention for being flaky. But are they always wrong? Something to consider:

I'm one of the few charismatic bloggers that I know of. I'm also not happy with the deranged state of the charismatic movement today, where all sense and doctrine have been abandoned.
The following is by far the most read post on Cerulean Sanctum. The ideas within work not only for discerning true charismata, but for discerning any truth claims made by anyone claiming to be a Christian.
About the “Reposts” During the Blog Hiatus

I'll be away from blogging for the next month. During that time, I had planned on reposting old posts in their entirety.
I have since learned that Google does not like to see the same exact content in a different place on the same blog and will penalize for it. Not wishing to have search engines avoid indexing those posts because they've been posted twice, I'll instead be providing links to them with a brief intro.
The first will come tomorrow.
Even though these are older posts revisited, feel free to comment on the post at its original link location. All comments, even from older posts, are e-mailed to me, so I do see them. I may not respond to each comment personally (since I'm trying to step away from the blog for a month), but if a point is really cogent, I may. Nonetheless, your input is still welcomed!

Like I mentioned earlier this week, I've decided to take a month off from writing Cerulean Sanctum. During my absence, I'll be reposting older posts I feel are still worth reading. If you're a recently-arrived reader and haven't seen it all before, it'll be new to you.
