Um…Well…I Need Two More Weeks! :-(

Folks,
Today was supposed to be my first day back after a month-long vacation from blogging. Truth is, I need two more weeks of break in order to complete all the projects I need to finish.
I've been chained to the computer pretty much the whole month, either working on paid writing jobs or my son's homeschooling.
As for the novel, I spent twenty hours last week editing a mere 50 pages of 385 total! Painful, for sure. The happy part is the first edits are about sixty percent done. The scary part is that I have about 700 pages of commented edits to wade through for the last 150 pages! I got so used to editing sub-100 page documents in my freelance commercial writing work that I thought I'd use the same tactic on my novel. Bad idea.
Note to budding novelists: EDIT AS YOU GO!
I PROMISE Cerulean Sanctum will return by October 1st. When I took the break, I worried I'd not be able to get everything done in a month and that fear proved prophetic.
In the meantime, reposts will continue. I know that's a bit disappointing, but the good thing is I've gathered a boatload of post ideas in the last month and will have no dearth of material to cover when I return October 1st.
See you then. Scouts' honor!
