Cerulean Sanctum: New Features 12/18/06

In response to a couple requests from readers, I've added some features to the blog to make it more reader-friendly.

1. When you click on the title of a blog post, it pulls up an individual post and all its comments. Right after the post title (and after the category tags) you will now see features for printing or e-mailing a post. The print feature strips away all the dross and gives just the whole text, plus it formally writes out the full URL for any embedded links (a sweet feature) down in footnotes. The e-mail link will e-mail the post intro to any user you select.

2. I've instituted a comment-tracking form. Readers can now subscribe (and unsubscribe) to any post's comment thread to better track the conversation.

Enjoy!

Dan, I am interested in that print feature. Was that a plugin that you found somewhere, and if so, could you point me to it? Thanks!

Steve,

Lester Chan wrote many of the plugins I use on the blog. He’s very responsive, too. I had a plugin that caused trouble and Lester spent weeks troubleshooting it.

Thanks, Dan! I’ve already downloaded it and installed it onto my blog. Thanks for the tip! :)
