Request: Image Handler for WordPress 2.1?

Thanks to all the people who responded to my request for help concerning portal software for my business. Now that Wordpress 2.1 includes the ability to set specific pages as the front page, I don’t have to fool around with editing PHP files and setting up plugins that only semi-work. The biz page is in process and I’ll link it soon.

Here’s where I need more help:

I used to use the Editormonkey plug-in to handle my post editing. Now that it doesn’t work (and is considered deprecated), I lost the ability to easily add HTML image tags to the images that display on Cerulean Sanctum. WP 2.1’s built-in editor does not allow for easy title tags, nor does it include border and image size tags (essential for faster page loading and SEO).

Is anyone using an image plugin that works for 2.1 that allows quick additions of all the essential image tags without having to go in and hardcode each one? I’ve looked at a few out there, but they’re either overkill (and painfully slow to load) or they’re missing tags.

Thanks in advance!

Dan, just out of curiosity, have you tried asking these questions (or searching for answers to them) on the WP support forums? I’ve found them to be very useful.

You may have mentioned that at some point, and I have missed it, but that’s where I often turn to find answers to these questions.

I wish I were more up-to-speed on plugin authoring so that I could write what you need, but I’m afraid it would take me longer than you would want to wait at this point! ;)
