I can relate to your desire to see some good things happen...we have been in what I call "extreme problem mode" (one major crisis after the other, the most recent being my surgery to remove a brain tumor, of all things, and all the (YAY!) medical bills that are following in its wake) for many years. Going on 25 years, to be exact. Somehow we muddle through, and somehow God's will is accomplished.

I wish I could help in some practical way, as was the practice of the early church. I will pray for you and your family.

I enjoy your blog, Dan. God bless. I trust He will give you the desires of your heart.

Hope this doesn't sound trite, but I do hope you make the most of the down time. Peace.

Alan,

What am I doing? Honestly? Trying not to worry. And some bum electronics are the least of it.

David,

Hmm. Right now, my sense of humor isn't my most redeeming feature. I'd like to see a distinct shift from bad things happening to god things showering down on us in abundance. We've had more than our share of the former---and for more reasons than just a couple pieces of throwaway electronics burning out.
