The best &quot;conference&quot; I ever attended was a marriage seminar in a dusty old gymnasium, attended by a grand total of 10 people.  Over the course of six hours our pastor showed us the Biblical model for marriage and I learned more there than I ever received at the more popular marriage seminars.  I think Americans are, for some reason, of the opinion that popular &quot;experts&quot; have more to say about living the faith than your typical, everyday pastor.  Perhaps in most churches this is true; a sad commentary on the state of our churches if that&#039;s the case.</description>
