Anyway, yes, the Lord has been showing me the "ugly" people, who He came for lately; a woman in WalMart who we would say is physically unattractive, the watress sitting outside smoking on her break, who looked like she was in deep thought, and the man with his backpack on who was not groomed or clean, shaven yesterday. I believe He is training my eye to "see" them, for future encounters with "these types," to share the love of Christ with them, if only in having conversation, and responding with acceptance and grace. We are the Body, which can choose to go into all the world, making ourselves available to the lost and dying, and as He gives us occasion and the words and boldness, we can share the of the reconciliation Jesus has done to reconnect them back to their Father. So, your post, confirmed in me what the Lord has been leading me in already. It spoke to me of truths that He's been moving me in. Thanks for being obedient. Let these truths move us to action in His name and power, and make Him attractive to the "unattractive." He is beautiful and they (and we) are beautiful in His sight.

Dan- I just happened on your blog, when I was looking up “bearing one another’s burden, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” How I got here from there, only God knows. Nothing's gonna beat this in the next eleven months. No, seriously, I am going to be dwelling a long time of this one. Lots of truth. Lots of conviction (see point #3). I just wanted to let you know, great post.

OK, best post of the year, I’m sayin’ now.
